Concision panelised Factory Officially Opened in Rolleston

The New Zealand building sector ushered in a new era today with the official opening of Concision Panelised Technology’s new factory for the production of panelised buildings.

The opening, in the presence of New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, will mark a period of expansion for Spanbild Limited and Mike Greer Homes Limited, two of the country’s largest building companies that formed the joint venture.

The factory, which is located at iZone in Rolleston, will progressively employ 75 staff and produce around one standard size building per eight-hour shift for the Spanbild and Mike Greer brands.

The investment included the construction of a 5,000m2 factory floor and the installation of world-class production equipment from German supplier, Weinmann.

The plant also features computerised technology, which can take a wide range of building plans that can be put through the manufacturing process.

The new Concision factory represents a revolution in the way that houses are delivered in the New Zealand market

“We are incredibly excited to have the doors open to an advanced manufacturing operation in the region,” said Concision Chairman and Spanbild CEO, Peter Jensen.

“This is fantastic for the industry and will boost production by up to 1,000 buildings per year.”

“Top of the line technology and manufacturing processes undertaken at Concision will keep both Spanbild and Mike Greer Homes ahead of the game.”
