Lewis Road reveals two new milk flavours - pure and simple

Premium dairy brand Lewis Road Creamery has revealed its much-anticipated duo of delicious new milk flavours set to be hitting stores across the country from tomorrow.

Lewis Road Creamery Fresh Coffee Milk and Lewis Road Creamery Fresh Vanilla Milk are the result of collaborations with two premium and popular Kiwi brands – Coffee Supreme and Heilala Vanilla.

And like its popular Fresh Chocolate Milk, the two new flavours were developed with a focus on quality over quantity and natural over artificial.

The simple process from farm-gate to bottle sees New Zealand’s best milk blended with only a few real ingredients of the highest quality and no additives or preservatives.

Lewis Road Creamery Fresh Coffee Milk delivers the great taste of coffee by independent specialty coffee roaster Coffee Supreme in a chilled format. A special blend of hand-selected and naturally processed Brazilian coffees are freshly roasted, ground and then batch brewed to create a coffee extract – in stark contrast to other coffee milks made from instant coffee. The coffee extract, with notes of cocoa nib, jersey caramel, honeysuckle and hazelnut brittle, is gently warmed with Lewis Road Creamery’s permeate-free Premium Whole Milk and a hint of organic coconut sugar before being pasteurised and bottled.

A similar simple process is used to produce Lewis Road Creamery Fresh Vanilla Milk. Heilala Vanilla’s Pure Vanilla Extract, Lewis Road Creamery’s permeate-free Premium Whole Milk and some natural cane sugar are infused together through a gentle warming process to create a smooth, velvety vanilla milk – the first of its kind in New Zealand. Notes of creamy butterscotch, honey and hints of hazelnut and fig combine to make it a taste sensation.

“Both Coffee Supreme and Heilala Vanilla represent the very finest within their respective categories and share our vision of delivering world-class products to their customers,” says Lewis Road Creamery founder Peter Cullinane.

“The taste experience of these two new flavours not only complement each other but also our ever-popular chocolate milk, meaning our line up of flavoured milks now offers something for everyone – no matter your taste or the occasion,” he says.

The launch of Lewis Road Creamery coffee and vanilla milks comes nearly one year after the successful October 2014 launch of the brand’s Fresh Chocolate Milk made with Whittaker’s chocolate. Since this time, Lewis Road Creamery has been working to increase its production capacity and extend its flavoured milk line-up in response to consumer demand.

In the South Island, the launch of the new coffee and vanilla milks comes at the same time as the launch of Fresh Chocolate Milk, previously only available in the north.

“We are incredibly proud of our two new flavours and believe they deliver on our mission to bring Kiwis top-quality dairy products that taste better than what’s available anywhere else in the world,” says Peter.

Lewis Road Creamery Fresh Coffee Milk and Lewis Road Creamery Fresh Vanilla Milk are available from selected supermarkets and specialty food stores nationwide from September 2, in two recyclable bottle sizes – priced from 750ml, RRP $6.49 and 300ml RRP $3.69.
