Spark encourages making your friends jealous with new UK Roaming Value Pack

Spark announced today that New Zealanders travelling to the United Kingdom to follow the rugby will be able to save money with a new Roaming Value Pack, offering more minutes, texts, and data than ever before.

Spark pay monthly customers can now get 100 incoming and outgoing minutes, 100 texts, and 500MB of data over a month for only $49. The new pack sits alongside the existing Roaming Data Pack, which provides 1GB of data a week for the same price, and improves on the standard rates of $2.49/$1 per minute for outgoing/incoming calls, 80c per text message, and $10 for 200MB of data per day.

Spark Head of Mobility Products, David Redmore, says that the new pack means people won’t have to ease up on sharing when they’re in the UK.

“Going to the game is always better when you can share it with your mates, and we’ve seen huge increases in mobile use at matches in New Zealand. Now you don’t have to worry about getting a huge bill if you’re lucky enough to be in the UK witnessing all the action first-hand – make all your friends back home jealous!

“We want people to text, talk, snap, and share all those big moments. The pre-match selfie, The Bus’ bone-crunching tackles and carving runs, the tight-five’s controlled ferocity, the three Smiths’ game-changing plays, even the rare Shag smile – sharing will be easier now than ever,” said Redmore.
