glimp aims to help Kiwis shave millions off credit bills

NZ startup, glimp, aims to help Kiwis shave millions off their credit card bills

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 19th SEPTEMBER 2016

New Zealand website glimp.co.nz is expanding its services to ensure more of us are getting the best deal when it comes to finding a credit card.

Currently offering power and broadband comparison, glimp will begin comparing credit cards in October, with other financial products coming soon.

“Last month we added power comparison to our site which has already helped hundreds of people save money on their energy bills,” said Speight. “As we grow, we are looking for more products that we can compare to make people’s lives even easier”.

“It’s important that we offer as much value to our users’ experience as possible,” Tyurkov added. “This means adding new comparison products that offer helpful information so users can make informed decisions. By constantly improving the scope of our website, we can help more and more people save money.”

Credit card debt currently stands at $6.1bn in New Zealand. Thus, Speight sees glimp’s new service as an opportunity for people to save money on their credit card balances.

“There is money to be saved if you shop around for a better deal,” he said. “Using our service, you will find the best card on the market to suit your needs in minutes.”

With glimp, users answer a handful of carefully selected questions to see credit card deals best responding to their needs. A full breakdown of each product is provided to ensure they are compared by the same standards, meaning that a switch to a better-suited credit card is just a few clicks away.

“There are many offerings out there and there is not one tool online that provides this service already,” Tyurkov says.

“If you want the lowest interest rate or a card that gives you benefits like cash back or airpoints, we make it easy to compare deals so you can apply for a credit card in minutes.”

glimp offers its comparison services without charge, allowing people to find the best broadband, power and credit card deals in New Zealand.
