Farrah’s Introduces Monsters

Farrah’s Introduces Monsters
New Product Release
October 17th 2016

Wellington born company, Farrah’s, was established 17 years ago in an old Fish n’ Chip shop turned bakery. Farrah’s has now established itself as New Zealand’s market leader in wraps.

As a proactive leader in the wrap and Tortilla industry, Farrah’s identified a gap in the New Zealand market for a specific kids wrap and has launched its new Kids Range, complete with its own monster characters – Sprigs, Gizmo, Sprocket and Axel.  This new Kids range includes the traditional white wrap and an additional flavour; Cheesy Snack Wraps, to offer children and parents another option.  Each pack contains 8 wraps, the perfect size for little hands.

The decision to create a kids-specific wrap came from consumer feedback that its white snack wraps were being used for children’s lunches.  Kids’ wraps have been successful in other markets overseas, so why not New Zealand.  Farrah’s will add new flavours to this new Kids Range in the future.

This new Kids Range creates a strong point of different from our existing wraps.  They have been positioned to attract kids and parents with a perfect lunch box focus.  We are delighted to have been the first to market with a Kids Range and expect excellent growth from existing and new users of the Farrah’s brand”, says Holly Shaw, Farrah’s National Marketing Manager.

Farrah’s uses traditional methods to bring its consumers the authentic taste and flavours that make it easy and simple to feed the family.  When owners Jovan and Farrah first started out in the wrap business, they rolled dough balls and hand-stretched each wrap, cooking them on a hot plate over an open flame.

Today, Farrah’s continues to make all of their wraps and tortillas right here in New Zealand with state of the art equipment to provide consumers with good quality wraps that don’t split or crack, while still making them the traditional way, over an open flame.
