Top event organisers ready to do business in New Zealand


Leading business event organisers from around the world are heading to New Zealand’s largest business tourism trade exhibition in Auckland next week.

CINZ MEETINGS, organised by Conventions and Incentives New Zealand, is the premier event for connecting influential domestic, Australian and international buyers with New Zealand’s key regions, meeting facilities, accommodation, off-site venues and activities.

CINZ Chief Executive Sue Sullivan says this year’s show is the largest in its 21 year history, and will showcase over 195 exhibitors from 19 regions across New Zealand to more than 500 New Zealand, Australian and international buyers.

Tourism New Zealand and Air New Zealand are bringing more than 35 influential buyers and media from China, South East Asia, India, and the Americas.

“For the first time, we have four buyers coming from Argentina, brought here by MEETINGS’ key sponsor Air New Zealand.

Altogether more than 220 qualified hosted buyers will attend, including over 90 hosted buyers and media from Australia,120 hosted buyers and media from around New Zealand. As well, more than 300 local day buyers are set to attend.

“With the support of key regional convention bureau and Air New Zealand, we are also hosting over 40 Australian buyers on seven different regional MEETINGS tours.

They will have chance to explore Auckland, Rotorua, Lake Taupo, Wellington, Marlborough, Christchurch and Canterbury and Queenstown.”

This year’s show includes 20 new exhibitors, and represented are venues, theming companies, hotels, AV companies, regional bureaux, attractions and activities from around the country.

Day buyers can still register to attend MEETINGS next week, and they can pick and choose with the opportunity to meet with all of New Zealand under one roof.
