Global payments tech company announces support for “good” Kiwi innovation, sponsoring award for ‘Best Technology Solutions for the Public Good’

AUCKLAND, October 26, 2017 – Visa today joined the ranks of other global technology companies supporting Kiwi tech innovation, announcing its sponsorship of the “Best Technology Solution for the Public Good” category in the 2018 NZ Hi-Tech Awards,

Visa’s Country Manager for New Zealand and South Pacific, Marty Kerr, says the payments technology company is thrilled to be supporting the event which recognises the most innovative companies and individuals who are driving the massive growth in the New Zealand technology sector.

“We’re especially excited to play a part in honouring the innovative technology solutions that enable public sector or not-for-profit transformation, this aligns with our own mission to enable communities, businesses and economies to thrive through innovative payment solutions,” says Kerr.

The new ‘Public Good’ award is the latest category to be added to the NZ Hi-Tech Awards programme, which will this year mark its 24th anniversary, since launching as the Electronics Awards in 1994.
