Transpower announces new Director and Deputy Chair

Transpower today announced the appointment of a new Director to its Board, and the appointment of a new Deputy Chair.

Sheridan Broadbent will join the Transpower Board on 1 May 2018 for an initial term of three years. Pip Dunphy has been appointed Deputy Chair of the Board from 1 May 2018 to 30 April 2021.

Sheridan has been working in executive and governance roles in the infrastructure, technology and energy sectors for over 20 years. Most recently, she was Chief Executive of lines company Counties Power. Sheridan is on the Board of Kordia Group, the New Zealand Business Leaders’ Health and Safety Forum, the Chair of the advisory board to UMS NZ Limited, and is Chair of data analytics start-up Ampli Limited.

A chartered director, Sheridan is an inaugural graduate of the IOD’s Future Directors programme, of which Transpower is an active current participant. Pip has been a Director on the Transpower Board since 1 May 2015 and is chair of the Board’s Audit & Finance Committee.
