Wellington Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive John Milford said the purpose of the awards was to celebrate the stories of our region’s export community.

"Our exporters play a key role in the ongoing development and growth of the economy, and it’s important to for us as a country to highlight these exemplar businesses.

"There are some excellent success stories in our region, but Kiwi businesses are traditionally happy to fly under the radar - we want to raise the profile of these export heroes and celebrate their achievements."
