Power Club Underway - Fed Farmers

Federated Farmers Vice President Tom Lambie said today that The Power Club, an initiative between Federated Farmers and the Energy Group, had now started analysing the hundreds of membership details submitted to date.

The Power Club has had a stream of inquires from both Federated Farmers members and non-members alike.

"The Energy Group is now analysing all the accounts and will provide advice to farmer and rural businesses as to where the best possible power supply deals are available to them."

"Applications have been coming in at a steady rate, and many non-members have joined Federated Farmers to take advantage of the specialist, independent consultancy work being done."

"The independent consultancy analysis is what makes The Power Club different. By using a consultant, we are able to assess the marketplace from an independent position, and then inform members which electricity supplier has the best price for them."

"There is a lot of confusion in the market place at present, with farmers and rural businesses receiving offers from electricity suppliers and sub-suppliers."

"As far as Federated Farmers has been able to ascertain, The Power Club is the only electricity supply initiative taking an objective overview of all electricity supply-related matters. The Power Club will incorporate an assessment of line charges as well," concluded Mr Lambie.
