Witches Cackle as Chickens Come Home to Roost

Media Release

WITCHES HIGH COMMAND

Witches Cackle as Chickens Come Home to Roost

The US government has egg on its face over sending supposedly TOP SECRET faxes from American APEC organisers to a chicken-processing plant in Mangere. The power of the Hex placed on the APEC agenda and meetings has already started working.

Witches Against APEC claim the success of the hex directed US officials to send confidential documents to the wrong fax number and warn APEC leaders not count their chickens before they hatch.

This is just the beginning, by the time the APEC Leaders arrive there will be no telling how powerful the hex will have become. The increasingly fragile forum may fall over altogether.

Witches Against APEC support the work of other groups in the community working to oppose the APEC agenda. "The work of others in the community, like the APEC Monitoring Group, The Trade Union Federation and GATT Watchdog in opposing APEC gives the hex its real power and the growing discontent with free trade and investment means the hex will continue to grow in strength."

Transnational Corporations and others who have their snouts in the trough at APEC should heed this warning. We will not be lambs to the slaughter.
