Frontseat Sunday 10.50pm: AK05, Wanganui Art Wars

Frontseat, 10.50pm Sunday 21st November, after Angels in America

I wanna be in Auckland tonight: Oliver Driver meets the new head of the Auckland Festival, David Malacari, and gets an exclusive low-down on the AK05 Programme being launched on Tuesday 23 November. www.ak05.co.nz

Up the river without a benefactor: New Wanganui Mayor Michael Laws called this week for the Sarjeant Gallery's collection to be 'liberated'. Meanwhile, doubts have been raised that the gallery has attracted enough money to be able to claim its share of the Regional Museums Fund, which was granted conditionally back in May. Frontseat heads into the fray.

On-line Life: Jeremy Hansen meets the bloggers - ordinary, everyday Kiwis who hang their washing out on the internet through their various web-logs. Meet the man behind Natalie, the award-winning 'International Librarian of Mystery' blogger, the stars of Public Address, NBR's Deborah Hill Cone, and Leo Koziol, who is tucked away up in Nuhaka (SH2 between Wairoa & Gisborne). AU-E! Ake, ake, kia kaha e: Amomai Pihama meets novelist Patricia Grace and filmmaker Taika Waititi, for whom the Maori Battalion has been a source of inspiration in their new projects. Grace has drawn on her father's experience for her new novel 'Tu', while Waititi's mostly-silent short 'Tama Tu' seeks humour and lightness in a dark place.
