2005 winners of the 2nd Maori Media Awards announced by Te Whakaruruhau o Nga Reo Irirangi Maori o te Motu, on Saturday, March 19, in Rotorua, were:

BEST PROGRAMME – YOUTH (WHAKAATURANGA O TE TAU - RANGATAHI):

BEST PROGRAMME – OPEN (WHAKAATURANGA O TE TAU - MOMO WATEA):
Ruia Mai, Mai Media Limited (Auckland)

BEST PROGRAMME – MAORI LANGUAGE (WHAKAATURANGA O TE TAU - REO MAORI):
Te Reo Irirangi o te Manuka Tutahi (Whakatane)

BEST PRESENTER (KAIWHAKATAKI O TE TAU):
Ngawai Greenwood, Te Reo Irirangi o te Hiku o te Ika (Kaitaia)

MOST SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO THE INDUSTRY (TAKOHA NUI O TE TAU):
Huirangi Waikerepuru, Te Korimako o Taranaki
