World Wrestling Entertainment® brings
WWE® SMACKDOWN®
ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA® 22 TOUR

Tickets go on sale today though Ticketek for the LIVE event WWE® SMACKDOWN® ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA® 22 TOUR.

On March 4th, 2006 at the Westpac Stadium, Wellington, WWE fans will be in for a a treat when WWE® Smackdown® Road To Wrestlemania® 22 Tour comes to NZ for the first time ever in March 2006.
The popular show is known for its pageantry, spectacle and groundbreaking pay-per-view impact.

Among the superstars scheduled to appear are:
Rey Mysterio™ - The colourfully masked Rey Mysterio™ eexploded onto the sports entertainment scene in the mid 1990s. He quickly redefined the way the game was played in the ring. From his awe-inspiring West Coast Pop to his trademark 619, Mysterio has been on the cutting edge of wrestling excellence. The definitive high-flying Superstar, Mysterio, despite his size is an innovative underdog that fans of all ages have grown to respect and love.

Batista - One of the toughest Superstars to ever grace RAW has taken his remarkable physique, ability and record to SmackDown! In July 2005, World Heavyweight Champion Batista was announced as the final, and maybe most stunning, draft pick in the 2005 Draft Lottery. Batista has had an ongoing feud with JBL The two faced off at two Pay Per Views in a row: Great American Bash, SummerSlam. Batista walked away from both events retaining the World Heavyweight Championship.

Christy Hemme - After an exhaustive search and competition Christy Hemme, the red-haired California sparkplug, beat out Carmella Decesare and won the $250,000 RAW Diva Search. Hemme’s first post-competition appearance wasn’t as celebratory. Trish Stratus turned her party into an impromptu 3-on-1 Bra & Panties Match, which she promptly lost. Still, staying true to her spirited personality, Hemme recovered and strutted around the ring to the crowd’s approval. Christy recently debuted on Smackdown after a block bluster trade sent her and Stacy Keibler to Friday Night Smackdown.

Other Superstars scheduled to appear include JBL™, CHRIS BENOIT®, EDDIE GUERRERO™, and RANDY ORTON™ with the card subject to change.

Howard Davis: Dryzabone - Robert Conolly's The Dry

After the terrible devastation caused by last year’s bushfires, which prompted hundreds of Australians to shelter in the ocean to escape incineration and destroyed uncountable amounts of wildlife, The Dry has been released during a totally different kind of dry spell. More>>

Howard Davis: Benjamin Ree's The Painter and The Thief

The Norwegian filmmaker had long been fascinated by art thieves who commit high-stakes crimes with a delicate touch when a chance Google search in 2015 uncovered a botched heist in Oslo. More>>

Howard Davis: Hit the Road, Jack - Chloé Zhao's Nomadland

Nomadland is perhaps the ultimately 'road' movie as it follows a group of dispossessed and disenfranchised vagabonds who find a form of communal refuge in camp sites and trailer parks after the economic contraction of 2008. More>>

Howard Davis: Byrneing Down the House - Spike Lee's American Utopia

Lee does an admirable job capturing Byrne's stunning live performance of his latest album, but the real star of the show is the staging. More>>
