Opportunity of a Lifetime for New Zealand Golfers to Tee It Up with Cambo

New Zealand golfers are being offered the exciting opportunity to play with US Open champion Michael Campbell, at two of the world’s top rated courses early next year.

To make the unique invitation even more appealing to Kiwi golfers, the courses to which Campbell will bring the US Open trophy are our own Kauri Cliffs in Northland, and Cape Kidnappers in the Hawkes Bay. The two acclaimed international courses developed in New Zealand by American Julian Robertson, have recently been named among the Top 100 Courses in the World by the prestigious Golf Magazine. (Kauri Cliffs ranked #58 and Cape Kidnappers ranked #27 – the only two courses in New Zealand to be ranked)

Michael Campbell is Kauri Cliffs’ tour professional, and has confirmed the dates of January 12 and 19, as well as February 18 to be at his home course. Campbell will also host a day at the breathtaking Cape Kidnappers course on January 17.

The days have been planned to give golfers the maximum opportunity to interact with, and learn from Campbell.

They will feature an instructional clinic and putting clinic led by Michael followed by an 18-hole golf tournament during which Michael will play several holes with each foursome. At the end of the day’s play, there will be an awards and cocktail reception at which Michael will present prizes to the winning teams.

In addition, Michael will also host a private dinner at Kauri Cliffs for tournament player’s staying at the Lodge.

The cost per participant will be $975 and the limited number of places in the four days involved are expected to be snapped up quickly. As an appreciative gesture to local players, Julian Robertson is offering every golfer playing either Kauri Cliffs to cape Kidnappers between November 26 and January 10 the opportunity to go into a prize draw to win a place at one of the Michael Campbell days.

“We have a magnificent champion who is enthusiastic about coming home to play I am delighted to be able to offer the opportunity for this to happen on our two courses, and to give the golfers who support our courses a chance to win one of the spots to play with Michael”, said Julian Robertson.
