Relive the music, the passion, the dodgy fashion

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL MEDIA RELEASE

2 March 2006

Relive the music, the passion, the dodgy fashion

It's the final countdown to Auckland City's 80s revival concert on Saturday 18 March at Maungawhau Mt Eden's Tahaki Reserve from 6pm.

The free performance, supported by The Rock 90.2, promises three hours of high energy, outrageous fun, wild fashion and big hair with Jordan Luck and Club Nerd.

Rock legend Jordan Luck, frontman for the Exponents and one of New Zealand's finest singer songwriters, will be performing all his well-known Exponents hits with help from his current band Luck.

Luck will be ably supported by class act Club Nerd who will play some great 80s hits guaranteed to get everyone up dancing.

So dust off your neon T-shirts, dungarees and lace fingerless gloves and get into the groove!

The Auckland City Music in Parks series has plenty of music and plenty of space to enjoy it in this summer, so grab some food and some friends and head out to one of the city's beautiful parks to enjoy some first class music. Check out www.aucklandcity.govt.nz/mips or listen to The Rock 90.2 for more details.

These concerts are produced by Auckland City, with support from Radioworks. They are just some of more than 60 free events provided by Auckland City as part of the Ak@Play summer events programme.

Auckland City - proud supporter of Kiwi music.
