Kayne Scott New NZ V8s Champion
Hamilton driver Kayne Scott has been confirmed as the 2005-06 NZ V8s champion following a successful appeal against a loss of points for illegal testing prior to the Pukekohe Round of the championship.
The MotorSport Court of Appeal issued a verbal decision last night after a four and a half hour hearing. The full written decision will be available next week.
The decision reinstates the 150 points deducted from Scott by a Stewards hearing. He now has 1210 points, overtaking Angus Fogg (Auckland) on 1131.
