Comedy Underground to feature "The Rest of the Fest"

Forget those fly-by-night international acts – the next Comedy Underground will feature a selection of some of the best *Kiwi* comedians from the ODDFELLOWS NZ International Comedy Festival.

Heading the bill (and hosting the night) on Sunday 28 May will be the fabulous

*MICHELE A'COURT*, NZ's Best Female Comedian 2002 – 2005, fresh from the Adelaide, Melbourne and Auckland seasons of her latest festival show, *40 Odd Years*.

Wellington's own *STEVE WRIGLEY* will also perform, bringing his unique brand of improvisational humour to the stage – this comedic dynamo is part of no less than 3 comedy festival shows this year, including *TheatreSports, The Mullet Brothers,* and his own 1 hour show, *Geek Sheek*.

The show will also feature accomplished Maori *MATIAHA "MUTTS" PAKU*, co-winner of the "Best Newcomer" award for the 2005 Comedy Festival and returning this year with his first ever solo show, *One Nite Only.*

And last but not least, rising star* TJ MCDONALD *may just be the future of New Zealand comedy – come along and see him before he gets so famous that his career ends in a vicious spiral of sex, drugs and excess. Comedy Underground is a regular monthly comedy night in Room 101, downstairs at Bar Bodega. Shows are on the last Sunday of every month.

*Comedy Underground** *8pm, Sunday 28 May* *Room 101, Bar Bodega 101 Ghuznee Street Tickets $8 on door
