Kezia & The Seven Year Itch EP release

Pssst! The Seven Year Itch is coming…
Kezia & The Seven Year Itch
EP Release party this week at The Mighty Mighty

This week heralds the arrival of Kezia & The Seven Year Itch, the new venture by Wellington musician Kezia Nell Hinchey featuring the support of some of Wellington’s finest musicians.

Kezia & The Seven Year Itch celebrate the pre-release of their debut EP this Thursday, November 16, at brand new Wellington venue The Mighty Mighty.

The self-titled EP is released nationwide November 27 through Border, with first single Pretty Baby already receiving radio airplay.

The name might be new but Wellington chanteuse Kezia Nell Hinchey is no stranger to musical success.

Her resume includes playing in the same circles as UK indie luminaries Cornershop and Super Furry Animals, stylist for the wildly successful Fly My Pretties tour, and her recording band The Seven Year Itch includes Conrad Wedde, Will Ricketts and Sam Scott, all members of the Phoenix Foundation.

In a style of ‘Marilyn Monroe meets Blondie’, Kezia navigates diverse influences of electro-pop, sultry jazz, bluegrass folk and rockabilly.

The Seven Year Itch live band includes Ryan Prebble (bass), The Inkling's Osaka Silenzo (guitar), Cecilia Shand (keys) and Mike Jensen (drums) and the release party features support from Rosie Rigger (Charlie Ash), Sam Scott (Phoenix Foundation) and others.
