Get creative this summer
Summer looks bright at Artstation with a range of exciting holiday art workshops for adults, teenagers and children throughout January.
The adult summer workshops include silkscreen and painting classes.
Highlights include Figuration/Abstraction - a summer painting workshop run by Christine Gregory from 15 to 19 January. This landscape-based workshop includes a field trip to the inspirational west coast of Auckland and covers the basics of design, colour and composition.
Kathryn Stevens teaches several painting workshops for adults including the No Talent Required! painting and drawing workshop from 15 to18 January. The workshop covers aspects of line, tone, light and shadow, perspective and colour, and requires no experience just a willingness to learn.
For teenagers, there is a special black and white photography workshop from 15 to18 January. Taught by Julie Downie, this comprehensive course covers all areas of black and white photography including camera handling, film processing and printing.
The children’s school holiday workshops feature an array of arts from painting and pottery to costumes and construction. These classes offer children the chance to learn new skills while having fun in a safe and supportive environment.
Workshops include Costumes and Magic with Natalie Couch and A Lion, a Witch and a Wardrobe pottery workshop with Kairava Gullatz.
Contact Artstation for further details on these and other Artstation classes. Bookings are limited.
