FRESH from the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and with a brand new show, crowd favourite Danny Bhoy returns to New Zealand, where he has performed to sell-out houses on four successful previous visits. New Zealand loves him.

Last year, audiences bought almost 15,000 tickets and honoured him with the People’s Choice Award at the Comedy Festival for the second consecutive year. This August, he will perform in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton, Napier, New Plymouth, Whangarei and Nelson. Tickets are on sale Monday June 18. (See page 2 for details)

Promoter Scott Blanks of comedy.co.nz productions says this is Danny Bhoy’s first stand-alone tour outside of the comedy festival and we are lucky to have him.

His new show, about heroism and the inevitability of failure saw him become the top selling comedian at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which was followed by a successful tour of the United Kingdom. He was also nominated for a Gemini Award (Canadian Emmy) for the best individual performance in a comedy program or series for his performance in the Just for Laughs Showcase.
