CHATdate: Another World First for New Zealand

CHATdate: Another World First for New Zealand

We live in the age of text messaging, voice and video, so why haven't these been incorporated into the multi-billion dollar internet dating industry? It is refreshing that New Zealander's are yet again one of the first countries to experience the benefits of world first technology an online dating service has to offer.

CHATdate is the first online dating site in the world to incorporate true web based voice chat using next generation VoIP technology. 'VoIP' or Voice-over Internet Protocol is a technology that allows voice conversations to be carried over the internet as opposed to traditional phone lines; many businesses and now common household users depend on it. "Online dating is a 21st century concept but yet majority of online dating service providers still offer 20th century technologies" says Chris Cadag, CEO of CHATdate.

This VoIP technology offers CHATdate users a chance to have a one-on-one conversation with CHATdate contacts for free wherever they are in the world. You can listen to your voice messages on-line or have them sent via email to your selected email address - this means that you can access your voice messages wherever you are - all without having to divulge any personal details. This keeps internet dating safe, it allows you to have a one on one 'date' all in the safety of your own home or while you are on the move. CHATdate's Video over VOIP is also due to be released in the very near future.

One of the problems with current online dating and online chat is that it requires both parties to be on-line. This is all in the past as CHATdate offers TxTNudge service which is a two way web-to-text system. TxtNudge allows you to get in touch with people on your CHATdate contact list and continue the conversation even when they're away from their computer. This means that the TxtNudge recipient is able to reply from their cellphone, which message is received in your CHATdate inbox. This is yet another internet dating first.

With the integration of these technologies the interim steps that have been lacking in traditional dating sites are now found.

Today's busy world means meeting people is becoming almost impossible. Our non-stop lives and sixty hour weeks means we have very little time to actually go out and find ourselves new friends let alone a partner. Online dating is a rapid growing industry throughout the world, and cases of online relationships resulting in long-term relationships are increasingly common.

CHATdate is 100% NZ owned and operated. Created in only 11 months in a small Glenfield office CHATdate has certainly lived up to all online dating user expectations. After nine weeks of going 'live' CHATdate has proved to be as popular as predicted receiving over 21,000 hits on the website and just over 400 users are now enjoying the benefits that CHATdate has to offer. Although these next generation services are offered they have not overlooked the traditional tools such as email, instant messenger and smile sending.

CHATdate was created to fill a large void in the singles market. With less time and more reservations people are still nervous about turning to internet dating. CHATdate offers a safe way of meeting new people and eliminates a lot of the nervousness that comes with meeting people you have never seen before. Pictures can be deceptive and we have all heard the horror stories about people not living up to expectations!
