Celebrating the Birth of a Nation
Celebrating the Birth of a Nation
Descarga Cubana’s
upcoming party, Carnival de La Raza is a celebration of a
National holiday in Latin America that recognises the birth
of a Latin identity.
It promises to be the biggest Latin dance event ever held in the city.
With a heritage shaped by colonisation, the slave trade and the indigenous people, the fusion of cultures in Latin America has produced popular rhythms and dance styles such as salsa, samba and rumba – all of which will be showcased at the party.
There will be a total of 28 performers, including two live bands, and dancers covering a range of Latin dance styles.
Two Latin deejays will be onboard serving up an irresistible mix of Salsa and funky Latin music until the early hours.
The night features live music from Banda Sindicato (salsa band) and Samba Maracana, combined with live performances by Vivio and Greydis, Andrew and Danika, Danza Negra, Morani Afoxe, and Capoeira Mandinga.
This is a party where everyone will dance and celebrate the many things we love so much about Latin America and its music.
It’s time to party…Latin-style!
