Push Play Fun in the Surf day at Warrington Beach

Push Play 'Fun in the Surf' day at Warrington Beach

'Push Play Month' October 2007 will be celebrated at Warrington Beach on Sunday 28 October, 12 Noon to 5pm with a 'Fun in the Surf' day.

In conjunction with the 'Push Play' programme promoted by Sport Otago, Warrington Surf Life Saving Club will provide a safe swimming zone with flags and qualified Surf Lifeguards.

The Club's experienced surf sports athletes will be on hand to help members of the public try out boogie boards, long boards, surf canoes and the inflatable rescue boat, for a gold coin donation. The Club hope to be able to give people that don't normally use our facilities ideas about activities they can get involved in at Warrington or other Surf Life Saving clubs.

There will also be a sand castle building competition, spot prizes, and a sausage sizzle.

Sport Otago are holding a Push Play event at Moana Pool earlier in the day so people keen on water sports can try out both events.
