Danny McCrum Band Debut Album ‘Awake & Restless’

Debut Album ‘Awake & Restless’
Press Release

For the last year the Danny McCrum Band have been writing and recording their new album ‘Awake & Restless’. On the 10th of November the band are releasing the album with a party and a live show.

Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter Danny McCrum has been writing and performing since he was twelve years old. During his teenage years he spent time in recording studios and performed all over New Zealand and at the age of twenty, he co-founded the band Spinner. Danny says today that he “started Spinner as an amateur and finished Spinner as a professional.” The lessons and experience gained, helped Danny put together the Danny McCrum Band. In a short amount of time, The Danny McCrum Band have developed a unique sound and a reputation for their highly skilled and memorable music.

They have topped competitions and worked with many artists including Jimmy Barnes, Tommy Emmanuel, Nora Jones, John Mayer, Katie Melua and many more. The line up includes bassist Matt Harvey, guitarist Ben Jurisich and English drummer Glen Child.

The new album showcases the bands skills as songwriters and musicians. It was produced by award winning producer Peter van Gent who has worked with Hayley Westenra, The Topp Twins, Ardijah, Michael Barrymore, Tommy Emmanuel, Norah Jones, Little River Band, Don McClean and more.

The album will be released through Elite Imports and will be in stores by mid-November.
