The on-stage phenomenon charts the final months of Judy Garland’s tumultuous life as she struggles to set herself on the comeback trail and secure her place as one of the world’s greatest and most idolised entertainers.

Set in 1968 in London’s Ritz Hotel, Peter Quilter’s play is a witty and affectionate comedy infused with the paradoxes and melancholy of stardom. It features a glorious ensemble of Garland’s most famous hits including C’mon Get Happy, You Made Me Love You, Come Rain Or Come Shine and, of course, Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

Auckland–born, internationally acclaimed actress Ellie Smith plays Judy Garland in the major hit that is rekindling memories of Garland fever that swept the world in the 1940s and 50s. This is a theatrical event not to be missed.

Saturday 22 December 2007, 8:00 PM Special 30th Anniversary concert - A celebration of the Life of the King of Rock’n’Roll.

Exclusive in New Zealand to SKYCITY Theatre, Max Pellicano, will be performing a special show in tribute to the 30th Anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley.

This show tells the story of Elvis from 1969-1977.

Starting with the 1969 Las Vegas Hilton International show where Elvis wore the "Fringe" outfit, onto the 1973 Aloha From Hawaii evening featuring the legendary "American Eagle" jumpsuit.

Lastly, Max recreates the 1977 "CBS Special - Elvis in Concert" final show where the King wore his famous "Sundial" suit.

Born and bred in London, by '91 Jason became a regular fixture at Londons Ministry of Sound, playing predominantly U.S House in the bar & main rooms, and mixing up the styles in the VIP room before developing an all important Saturday night residency for the following 4 years.

Fast forward through many musical twists & turns with Jason operating a commercial studio, playing in / producing bands & developing a healthy disrespect for unfunky music.

Today you can hear him combining London attitude with the sunshine soul of Aotearoa on his Groovadelica radio show, where you’ll hear a musical mix of new release & essential classic Latin, Broken Beats, Rock, Reggae, R n B, Drum & Bass, Hip Hop, House (in its many forms) with Jazz joints to savour as well.

As a producer Jason is credited with production & remixes for larger & smaller labels in both the UK & NZ, And in the spirit of small, he’s now running a small (but perfectly formed) local record label, conveniently called Groovadelica, bringing cool music to groovy people (as well as groovy music to cool people).
