New charity on board for Fanuary

Press Release December 12 2007

New charity on board for Fanuary

Myjobspace.co.nz is thrilled to announce their partnership with Women for Women Charitable Trust for Fanuary 08.

Women for Women Charitable Trust was recently set up to help educate women in all aspects of women’s health with a special focus on women’s cancers.

The charitable trust will put funds towards education and on a case by case basis to women who need financial support. “If there is a woman in need we will be there. They might be going through chemo and can’t afford day to day living so we will provide them with funds to make their life a little bit easier,” trustee Kim McCulloch says.

“It’s such a novel and fun idea to raise awareness and funds for women’s health. We are backing myjobspace.co.nz 110 percent in their venture.”

Fanuary organiser Rebecca Harris from myjobspace.co.nz says it’s great to have a charity on board who thinks outside the box.

Fanuary is along the same lines as Movember but for girls. “At the start of the month they start with a clean canvas and by the end of the month they will have a beautiful work of art.” Rebecca says.

“We will only be accepting tasteful entries; no suggestive photos will be accepted,” Rebecca reiterates. “This is not pornography and we will be conducting this event in a tasteful manner.”

Fanuary has already gone global with interest from Australia and the United States. “The most important thing is that it’s getting people talking about gynecological cancers and raising awareness of these cancers which is a good thing,” Rebecca says.
