It’s been an awesome week at BATS. Two knock out hit International shows, killer rave reviews and some of the hottest and happening talents of Wellington all under one roof. The audience just can’t get enough of Mr Marmalade and The Little Tragedies.

Showing til this Saturday is The Little Tragedies, “A startling production that is modern, lyrical, and timeless” Laurie Atkinson (The Dominion Post). The epic Russian tale gets a modern interpretation and as the reviewer put it. “Anyone who appreciates a well-told tale should see it…. That’s all of yas !”
Conversation tonight is with Paul McLaughlin. Read below for more details. The Woolshed Sessions is booking out so quickly that we have added an extra Sunday night show on Sunday 12 October 7pm.

_Conversation with Paul McLaughlin
Come down to BATS, grab a drink or two at The Pit Bar and have a Conversation with Paul McLaughlin tonight.
You might have seen him on TV shows such as Jackson's Wharf or Seven Periods with Mr. Gormsby, with a CV of 11 years of work as an actor. Over 35 professional stage productions, a grad of Otago Uni and Toi Whakaari/The NZ Drama School, you don't want to miss this fourth installment of conversation.

Theatre of Glorious Abandon (NZ) and New York’s STEPS Theatre present The Little Tragedies, a modern interpretation on themes of vice and virtue, money and rivalry, love and death. Alexander Pushkin’s Russian masterpiece about free will, fate, and the human obsessions that continue to haunt us even two hundred years after the “little tragedies” were first written.
