Food For Though: Charity Cookbook

Media Release 20th of November, 2008.

Kiwis are feeling the credit squeeze this Christmas but if the rapid sales of 'FOOD FOR THOUGHT' is any indication of the state of their hearts compassion levels they are in good fettle.

735pm.com offers a brand new recipe book. Not only a terrific gift to give a special friend on Christmas, but the proceeds from it a vital gift to the under privileged across the world. 100% of the profit going directly to help the poorest of the poor via Bright Hope Worlds charitable projects.

735pm.com wish to highlight awareness of the work done by Bright Hope World, today established in over 30 countries, directly impacting over 5,000 families, it has over 3,000 orphaned and vulnerable children being cared for and educated and indirectly touches more than 40,000 people per year.

Gina Garland - author of the newly released recipe book 'Food for Thought' is also committed to Bright Hope Worlds humanitarian projects. 'Food for Thought' is a collection of over 70 recipes from the UK & Europe. Gina collected, made and photographed the dishes creating a compelling collection of traditional cuisine from dozens of locations. From a recipe for the Queen's Barley Water to Cornish Pasties. Le Poulet Provencal from France to Rich Stout Cake from Kilkenny Castle in Ireland. A quality publication full of delightful travel stories, photographs and recipes of a young kiwis OE. At a stall on Polling Day in Blenheim they sold in quantities 3, 4 and even 9 per customer. It is so rewarding to see our young men in NZ enthusiastically buying a recipe book both to use and to gift to family and friends. In Southland Gina's large extended family each made 2 things from the book then gathered to celebrate the essence of Christmas behind the book over an afternoon of tastings.
