"The Searchers" pop group from the UK return to Upper Hutt
January is a popular month when many popular musicians in New Zealand reform their bands to entertain the public. Upper Hutt has been very fortunate over recent years to secure a concert by "The Searchers" from Liverpool, contempories of the Beatles. The "Searchers" are playing again this year on Friday 16 January at Harcourt Park, Upper Hutt. The concert starts at 6:45pm with "Itchycoo Park" who feature two members from NZ Fourmuyla who toured to UK during the 60'swhen the Searchers were underway. Alistar Richardson and Carl Evison are both well regarded in New Zealand.
Frank Allen who is the front man for the "Searchers" has already written one book "Travelling Man" about the Searchers with an introduction by Sir Cliff Richard and Mark Knoffler. He has another book underway and Upper Hutt is expecting a mention!
This concert at Harcourt Park is supported by Rimutaka Trust. It is a gold coin entry only.
