Adidas Originals celebrates 60 Years
Adidas Originals celebrates 60 Years with innovative online house party
Create your costume and dust off your dance moves because adidas Originals is capping off its 60th year celebrations with a gigantic online dress up party.
Best of all, you get to be the host! Everyone’s invited and there are great prizes to be won, including a trip for two to L.A to tag along with celebrity party photographer Mark “The Cobrasnake” Hunter.
It’s all part of a global mandate to mark the culmination of six decades with as much fun, style, and originality as possible.
Basically, the adidas Originals House Party game taps into the undisputable fact that the funnest parties always involve creative costumes and ridiculous dancing. Using a unique video technique, players can pick from thousands of clothing combinations and attach their own face to create an aditar - a hilarious and super cool dancing party persona. You can choose from of-the-minute pop cultural references, the latest in adidas Originals gear (including the Jeremy Scott and ObyO ranges) or countless bizarre mash-ups of the two.
So for argument’s sake, if you somehow decide to come as a weird post-modern hybrid of Justin Timberlake, Slash, and David Brent (The Office), you can. Or, if you’d like to stick your face atop the torso of Miss Universe and the legs of a tantrum throwing Christian Bale, well that’s OK too. You can even change your outfit as often as you like. The only limits to your aditar’s outfit are your own imagination and possibly, your knowledge of 80s movies and celebrity wardrobes.
Once players have created their aditars, they then have the option to start their own party for the chance to win amazing prizes. This is where the fun really starts. Players can send invites to as many friends, colleagues, classmates and randoms as they want either in game or via email, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter et al. At the end of the game, the player with the biggest party will win the L.A trip. There will also be prizes for the fastest growing party each week.
The adidas Originals House Party game launches July 13 and the competition closes August 31.
