Fresh ‘N Fruity Encourages Kids To Get Growing
Fresh ‘N Fruity Encourages Kiwi Kids To Get
Growing
And be in to win a share of $20,000 for
their school!
NEW ZEALAND Monday, 31 August
2009: This week Fresh ‘n Fruity launches a nationwide
school gardening programme with school children growing
strawberry gardens in recycled yoghurt pots.
Primary school teachers around the country can sign up at www.freshnfruity.co.nz to register their class in the competition. Each registered classroom will then be given a Get Growing pack with all the information and ingredients they need to grow their Fresh ‘n Fruity gardens, including vouchers to buy fruit plants courtesy of Palmers Garden centre in the North Island and their contributory retailers in the South Island.
Classrooms then keep a diary of their Fresh ‘n Fruity garden which is submitted for judging later in the year. There is a big prize of $10,000 up for grabs for the winning school, plus two runner-up prizes of $5,000 each.
The initiative coincides with the launch of Fresh ‘n Fruity’s new packaging, and is designed to engage children’s creativity while teaching them valuable skills on how to care for plants.
Caroline Giller, Fresh ‘n Fruity Marketing Manager says; “The Fresh ‘n Fruity get growing project is an engaging programme that gives kids the chance to learn and have fun, plus win great prizes for their school.”
While the packaging is changing, Fresh ‘n Fruity yoghurt still retains the same great taste of real, ripe fruit and delicious yoghurt that has made it the firm favourite with Kiwi families. Available in both 100g and 150g pot sizes, Fresh ‘n Fruity yoghurts are perfect for kids’ breakfasts and school lunch boxes.
Entries are strictly limited for the first 300 schools to sign up, so get in quick to get growing!
