Summer in Nelson
Summer in Nelson THE SOUTH
CANTERBURY FINANCE NELSON TROLLEY DERBY
Dec 19 - Feb 27
Sun, sand and
a whole of summer events like the trolley derby, the lantern
celebration and the teddy bears’ picnic. Nelson turns on
the summer fun for locals and visitors with the Summer in
Nelson programme that covers events right around the region.
Add memories to your holiday by joining the locals as they
take the walk up the Centre of New Zealand by lantern light,
chill out under the stars to the flicker of an old time
movie or hurtle down a city hill in your homemade racing
trolley. Nelson’s events have the flavour the region is
famous for – somewhat funky, a little bit boho, packed
full of old fashioned fun, mainly free and you are urged to
bring your own crockery to save on waste.
Summer in
Nelson is produced by the Nelson City Council as a
celebration for locals and an added attraction for visitors.
Summer in Nelson booklets will be available in early
December at libraries, visitor centres and council offices
throughout the region and will be delivered to every
household in Nelson city. More info at
www.nelsonfestivals.co.nz
