Good Books Lays Down Christmas Challenge to Kiwis

Good Books has laid down a challenge to New Zealanders, to help get a million gifts to those in need this Christmas.

And, says the book charity’s director Jane Cherrington, they have a million thrilling, scary, uplifting, tactically brilliant, informative or otherwise entertaining ways of achieving their ambitious goal.

This Christmas Good Books are asking people to buy at least one book as a Christmas gift from them - and in that way, actually give twice.

One hundred percent of all Good Books’ profits go to communities in need around the world through Oxfam, providing clean water, sanitation, education and agricultural resources. They are the only charity in the world who pass on every cent they earn to charitable projects.

Their aim is to sell a million books for Christmas, which will give a tremendous boost to communities throughout the world who may otherwise never have anything to cheer about at Christmas. Good Books says they need your help- to buy a book and pass on the message.

Says Jane Cherrington: “Don't forget - the time to get your Christmas books is November - that way you make sure post is not a problem. So get ahead on your Christmas rush and buy a gift that gives – and gives again, and get your friends to do it too.”

Buy a book at GoodBooks this Christmas, and give twice.
