Merry Kriskmass My
Friends, EP Released!
“I feel no pain, feel no
fear, for the Krisk is a white reindeer” …… yes, a
small stuffed white man and a reindeer have somehow managed
to inspire The Phoenix Foundation’s brand new little EP
called Merry Kriskmass, released today in record stores and
digital outlets, and perfectly placed to take care of all
your ‘Secret Santa’ needs!
This very fun,
slightly odd little 6-track EP managed to enter the bands
lives during the time they were supposed to be recording
their new album, providing much needed distraction from the
often grueling album recording process. So much so that
they’ve decided to release it in the hope that perhaps its
brings some extra Christmas cheer, whilst also allowing the
band added time to over analyse their future
album.
The opening song title and (almost) EP title
track ‘The Krisk’ is a sprightly little cracker which
will soon boast a new video clip produced by the band
themselves.
For the record, The Phoenix
Foundation’s new album is actually coming along nicely and
will be presented to your ears in the earlyish New Year.
It’s the follow up to 2007’s Happy Ending, which through
its recent European release, has just received a 5-star
review in one of the UK’s most respected newspapers - The
Independent, as well as many nice words from Mojo Magazine
(4/5) and Drowned In Sound (8/10).
Merry
Kriskmass is now available from all good record stores &
digital
outlets.
