[13th May 2010] MySpace today announced that Kiwi MySpace users will be treated to a special pre-release Black Curtain screening of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time on May 26th for FREE. Taking place the day before the film’s official national release on May 27th the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Black Curtain screenings will give MySpace fans around the country the opportunity to be some of the first in New Zealand to see this highly anticipated new action adventure film.
Taking place in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, the only way MySpace users can attend an exclusive preview screening is by befriending the Black Curtain profile where from midday on Wednesday May 19th they will find a code to SMS in order to be sent a unique ticket to their mobile.
“We’re is delighted to give MySpace users around the country the opportunity to see this highly anticipated new action adventure epic, as it’s just one of the ways we’re facilitating the discovery of premium content and culture both online and offline,” said Darain Faraz, MySpace spokesperson.
From the team that brought the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy to the big screen, Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films and directed by Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is set in a mystical Persia. This epic action-adventure sees a rogue prince (Jake Gyllenhaal) reluctantly join forces with a mysterious princess (Gemma Arterton) in a race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time – a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.
The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Black Curtain is the latest in a long line of pre-release screenings that MySpace has secured for their popular Black Curtain events. Recent screenings include; Alice in Wonderland, Boy, District 9.
