Greatest Moments in New Zealand Netball History Now available exclusively at Whitcoulls and Borders

New book launched in time for Christmas

Following the Silver Ferns’ gold medal-winning performance at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, a new book, which brings to life 25 of New Zealand netball’s biggest wins, arrives at Whitcoulls and Borders this week.

Exclusive to those two bookstores, Greatest Moments in New Zealand Netball History, includes the most breathtaking moments in New Zealand netball such as the Ferns’ unforgettable 66-64 extended extra-time victory at this year’s Commonwealth Games in Delhi against arch-rival Australia.

Editor Mike Bynum, has scoured national newspaper archives across the globe securing firsthand reports of all New Zealand netball’s greatest moments.

A series of in-store book signing events will be held at Whitcoulls and Borders stores across the country starting in Auckland this Saturday 27th November and working their way down the country. New Zealand netball’s current Ferns and great Fern legends from yesteryear, will be greeting their fans and signing copies of the book for holiday gifts.

The book also features in depth articles on Kiwi netball’s 26 all-time top players that have been written by some of New Zealand’s top sportswriters and the foreword has been written by our very own Dame of netball, Dame Lois Muir.

The 176-page – Greatest Moments in New Zealand Netball History – which is illustrated with more than 150 classic photos, is based on game-story accounts that originally appeared in The New Zealand Herald, The Southland Times and newspapers in England, Scotland, Jamaica, Australia and Trinidad.
