Andrew McManus expands team for Raggamuffin Festival

The promoter of one of New Zealand’s biggest events RAGGAMUFFIN is pleased to announce an expansion of his New Zealand team.

Andrew McManus Presents – promoter of Raggamuffin – has appointed two highly experienced personnel to his New Zealand operations.

Jackie Sanders is the new general manager for Andrew McManus Presents New Zealand and Sandra Roberts will head up publicity for the promoter’s Raggamuffin festival that annually attracts some 30,000 music lovers to Rotorua.

Sanders brings to the team a wealth of experience in the production of major events. She has been part of the highly successful three-day New Year’s Eve event Rhythm and Vines at Gisborne for the past two years. She has also played key roles in NZ Music Month; created and managed ZooMusic for Auckand Zoo for five years, as well as having served as event managers for The Edge in Auckland and Queens Wharf Event Centre in Wellington.

Roberts is one of New Zealand’s most experienced entertainment publicists, having worked with some of the hottest acts on the planet. AC/DC, Sting, Stevie Wonder, Kenny Rogers, Bryan Adams are some of the artists she’s had the pleasure of working with in addition to handling media for events and musicals including Mamma Mia!, We Will Rock You and the Mission Estate Concert that annually attracts around 25,000 people.

Andrew McManus is delighted to have Sanders and Roberts on board for the 2011 Raggamuffin Festival in Rotorua on February 5.

McManus says their involvement in Raggamuffin will serve to bolster what is shaping up to be the biggest event in the festival’s history.

“With sales tracking even stronger than this year’s festival, 2011 featuring Mary J Blige and Jimmy Cliff is assured to be bigger and better than any year previous, with many new and innovative surprises instore for tour loyal Raggamuffin fans,†declares McManus.
