Whitireia Gives Back Music Concert 


The Whitireia Independent Student’s Association and Whitireia Music department have managed to pull together a benefit concert today for the Christchurch Earthquake Relief Fund.

“WHITIREIA GIVES BACK” will be supported by sound systems provided by the Live sound program, DJ’s from the DJ program, Live bands from the Music program. There will be performances by local musician TJ, and friends, local hip hop brothers FuJanSu, and lots lots more.

Local celebrities Paula Laumemea student and Hollah FM MC, and TJ, staff member and musician extraordinaire, will MC the whole event. These two also, represent the working relationship between WISA and Whitireia New Zealand.

Community organizations are being asked to provide food throughout the time, and to donate proceeds to the relief fund. It is a gold coin entry. Donation buckets will be circulated throughout the event. Come and support this innovative initiative with as much spare cash as possible. Enjoy the entertainment, buy some food, and give generously.

Time: Friday 25 February, Midday – 6pm
Venue - out on the field by the music department, Porirua campus, Wineera Drive.
(Just past the Warehouse)

There will be food vendors, great entertainment, and an opportunity to support the cause. Wear red and black if you can!
