The Best of British!
John Cameron; Accompanist Rosemary Barnes, with Violinist Marian Burns, Angela Franklyn-Lewis, Alex Milligan & Tizane McEvoy.

Let this talented ensemble of artists take you on a fun packed musical journey of the British Isles, as part of the National Daytime Concert Series. The programme is filled with old favourites and new gems: English folk songs, Gilbert and Sullivan, Irish ditties, lyrical Welsh melodies and stirring Scottish ballads.

Scotland the Brave, All through the Night, Land of My Fathers, Molly Malone and many others combine in a celebration of The Best of British!

Special guest artist Marian Burns will delight audiences throughout New Zealand with her frenetic fiddling. Marian is the winner of numerous awards including NZ Country Music “Top Female Artist” 2009 and Winner “Top Musician” NZ Variety Artists Awards 2009. Marian says:

“Oh what fun this is going to be. I’m so looking forward to another season with Operatunity and working with this very talented cast. See you ALL soon for the ‘Best of British’. Love Marian.”

Operatunity will visit 24 towns from Whangarei to Invercargill throughout April and May with its “Best of British” tour.
