Artsenta Group Show & Interactive Art Exchange

17 April 2012

Artsenta Group Show & Interactive Art Exchange

Artsenta is proud to present The Artsenta Group Exhibition and Art Exchange at the Community Gallery, Dunedin. As well as viewing and having the opportunity to buy a wide range of art produced by a great number of Artsenta artists the Dunedin Public will be encouraged to interact by participating in the Art Exchange Exhibit.

The Art Exchange is a collection of artworks (12cm x 12cm) that fit into CD cases, and the general public are invited to exchange a piece of their own work for one they see and like in the collection. Artsenta would like to see the whole community exchange these small works of art.

During the exhibition there will be an art table for people to sit down and make art (or bring one along ready), for the Art exchange and art demonstrations to showcase the different activities that artists take part in at Artsenta. These will include printmaking, glassmaking and felting.

Artsenta is a shared art studio for people who are part of the Mental Health Community. Artsenta has been running for over 25 years now and still continues to inspire new comers as they walk in the door. The workshop offers people the opportunity to work at their own pace or with tuition and the exhibition reflects the wide variety of creative media that’s possible to explore at Artsenta.

Come along make, watch, view, buy and exchange art. Feast your eyes on work that combines painting, sculpture, weaving, glassmaking, jewelery, printmaking and more.

The Artsenta Group Exhibition and Art Exchange is at the Community Gallery, Princes Street, Dunedin, opening on Tuesday 24th April until Friday 4th May, weekdays from 9.30am – 5pm.
