Mai FM Extends It’s Reach to the Capital

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mai FM Extends It’s Reach to the Capital

Radio Network Mai FM has began broadcasting in Wellington today on 100.5FM, bringing New Zealand’s Hottest Hip Hop ‘n’ R&B to the capital.

Mai FM Program Director, DJ and pioneer of NZ Hip Hop, DJ Sir-Vere is excited about the launch into Wellington.

"Adding Wellington to the Mai FM whanau completes our goal of having Mai FM broadcasting into New Zealand’s three main metro radio markets. We received an incredible welcome into Canterbury last year - the number of Mai FM listeners there is soaring and the appetite for Hip Hop and R'n'B is alive and well. We anticipate our launch into the capital will have a similar vibe and we're excited about bringing our unique brand and format to Wellington".

The new 100.5FM Wellington frequency for Mai FM will carry the existing programming, including Mai Mornings with Nickson, K’Lee and Wairangi Koopu from 6am weekdays. As a network, Mai FM will continue to represent multi-cultural New Zealand, utilising young emerging talent with an urban contemporary playlist.
