FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Pub Charity further supports The Court Theatre

Following on from their $500,000 contribution in 2011 towards the construction of The Court Theatre's new facility, "The Shed" in Addington, Pub Charity has recently provided a further grant to The Court to cover the rental of the premises for the next twelve months.

"Last year Pub Charity was the first major contributor to our fundraising campaign, and now they have come to our assistance again" says Court Theatre Chief Executive Philip Aldridge. "Operating costs have gone up substantially in our new location and rent has been one of the main culprits. This further support is incredibly good news."

Chief Executive of Pub Charity Martin Cheer says "Pub Charity has a policy of helping organisations to help themselves. Providing The Court with financial support not only enables them to entertain the people of Canterbury but also provides significant employment opportunities in the region."

"The application process was refreshingly easy," Aldridge says. "It is highly encouraging to have an independent organisation that recognises the unique challenges businesses face locally. Pub Charity's continued support is greatly appreciated."
