Is it Time for a Marriage Warrant Of Fitness?
Like a car, our relationships need the occasional check-up to keep things running smoothly. That's how Upper Hutt couple Steve and Suzanne Thom view the Marriage Course which they facilitate, an opportunity to check things over to help the relationship notch up many more happy miles!
They're into their 3rd year facilitating the course at Heretaunga Christian Centre. The course is very practical and covers a range of topics including communication, understanding each others needs, resolving conflict, ways to heal hurts, developing intimacy and much more.
"We love seeing couples benefit from the course and seeing relationships grow stronger" said Suzanne. "Each of the 7 sessions starts with a meal, couples are seated at tables for two so it's a bit like a meal at a restaurant. The course material is great and there are plenty of laughs along the way as well. There's no group discussion which comes as a relief to most couples!"
"We've had some amazing feedback from previous course participants." said Steve. "Some of the couples who come on the course have good marriages and they want to invest further in their relationship. Others might have specific areas that they want to work on. Some couples have only been together a short time and are looking to lay strong foundations for their life together while others have been together much longer."
The next course starts Tuesday 26 February. For more information contact Steve or Suzanne, phone 0276634484 or visit www.marriagecourse.co.nz.
