Flava Returns to Hawke’s Bay And Tauranga

The Radio Network has re-launched Flava on 96.7FM in Hawke’s Bay and 99FM in Tauranga.

“Flava is a popular station and there has been constant listener demand for the station to return to those markets”, says Flava Content Director Christian Boston.

“We’ve listened to that feedback and are thrilled Flava is coming back to both Hawke’s Bay and Tauranga.”

On Flava’s exit from the Hawke’s Bay market in early 2012 it was the NUMBER ONE radio station in the 10-29 year old demographic.*

Flava delivers hit music lovers today’s hottest songs and artists, combined with celebrity interviews,
exclusive remixes and lifestyle information. Flava’s Facebook and Twitter pages connect followers
with its announcers and latest competitions.

The Flava breakfast show stars actor and comedian Dave Fane, Pete Marsden and Tarsh Ieremia.

“It’s important for The Radio Network to grow our younger audiences and Flava is a proven popular brand with specific appeal to a new generation,” says Flava Content Director Christian Boston.

As a result of the switch, the Radio Network’s Radio Sport in Hawke’s Bay is now exclusively heard on 1125AM and in Tauranga exclusively on 1521AM, maintaining greater regional coverage for sports fans.

The Radio Network will operate seven stations in Hawke’s Bay and Tauranga which in addition to Flava also includes Newstalk ZB, Classic Hits, ZM, Radio Hauraki, Coast and Radio Sport.
