Grand Mercure Puka Park – Come One Come All
Come To New Zealand and Be Married

April 19, 2013 - In celebration of the joy following the vote by the New Zealand parliament this week to legalise same-sex marriage, Grand Mercure Puka Park, on the Coromandel Coast (2 hours drive from Auckland) announces that it continues to welcome all couples, with tailor made wedding packages for the bridal party and guests.

Couples have the choice of a ceremony on the beach at Pauanui or in the magnificent private bush garden settings that dot the Resort, followed by a sit-down reception for up to 120 people in the Puka Room.

Grand Mercure Puka Park is currently undergoing a massive refurbishment program of all its guest rooms and public areas which will be completed by the end of September; just in time for a late spring or early summer wedding date, giving plenty of time to plan all the finer details.

From $160 per person, the package is inclusive of a tailored lunch or dinner menu, 4.5 hours of beverages, canapés with pre dinner drinks, venue hire, chair covers and sashes to match the happy couple’s colour scheme. The package also includes a night for the couple in one of the gorgeous bush chalets on the wedding night. Packages are available for sale for weddings held before 31 December 2014

The Resort, perched high above the sandy beach and set in native bush, has 42 private tree house style chalets , so there is plenty of accommodation for guests attending from outside of New Zealand too.

The Resort has fine leisure facilities too, an outdoor pool, spa, sauna, gym and tennis court, and if guests opt to linger they can fish and play golf nearby.

Virgin, Air New Zealand, Qantas, Emirates and Jetstar all fly to Auckland with flights from a low $388 per person return from Sydney
