ARCADE FIRE
With their cathedrals of sound, this Montreal collective have built a fiercely loyal fan base, a following that counts rock heroes like David Byrne and David Bowie as members. The band's sound — a mix of slashed strings, blaring brass, pounded percussion, and Win Butler's spooked croon — was smart and dramatic enough to earn Springsteen comparisons from the beginning, and the group's three world-class albums from the naughties decade - 2004's Funeral, 2007's Neon Bible and 2010’s Suburbs, the latter of which won them Best New Album at the 2011 Grammy Awards - prove that sometimes bigger is better.

BLUR
Blur as we know it was born in 1989 when the band signed to Food/EMI. Debut album Leisure (1991) announced the arrival of a band with pop-suss warped by an art-punk eccentricity. Yet Blur had more in them: namely, a revolution in the sound of English popular music. Second album Modern Life Is Rubbish reintroduced the idea that English rock music could be cool, and by the time their third album Parklife emerged in 1994, the rest of the UK, and the world, had caught up.

SNOOP DOGG aka SNOOP LION
Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion is multi-platinum artist and entertainment icon. With over 20 years in the industry, Snoop's ability to stay at the forefront of popular culture and new technology through hit records, brand partnerships, innovative digital strategies, philanthropy and more has resulted in unwavering relevance. Most recently, Snoop has been making headlines with his Reincarnated project and announcement of his new moniker, Snoop Lion - which has been the most controversial journey of a modern day icon. Reincarnated is a multifaceted project, which includes a reggae-influenced album executive produced by Diplo and Major Lazer.

MAJOR LAZER
Major Lazer was cryogenically frozen with help from a mysterious shadow government as a safeguard for the future’s wellbeing. Despite many years of peace, a new threat began to loom and Major Lazer was brought out of sleep to Free The Universe, beginning on the fortuitous date of February 19th, 2013. In his time, Diplo has performed at all the major festivals, Coachella, Pitchfork, Sasquatch, he has been personally sought after by Beyonce, collaborated with Thom Yorke, Bruno Mars, Vampire Weekend, Dirty Projectors and more, and has multiple Grammy nominations under his belt. Safeguard, indeed..

STEVE ANGELLO
The word icon is liberally tossed around the modern music industry. But casually dressed and exceedingly loyal to his vocation, familial House veteran Steve Angello has encapsulated those values with more persuasive vigour than the vast majority of his long serving peers. Never one to hinder under the weight of tribulation, his legacy can be found as comfortably cramming the venues once unfathomable to Electronic Dance Music as it does the Beatport charts with essential new talent. Passion may have seen him pioneer the Stockholm underground, but innovation has seen him join the ranks of luminary mafia man.

THE LUMINEERS
The Lumineers are a 2-time Grammy-nominated folk rock band, based in Denver, Colorado, founded by Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion). Schultz and Fraites began writing and performing together in New Jersey in 2005, before Neyla Pekarek (cello, vocals), Stelth Ulvang (piano) and Ben Wahamaki (bass) joined the band as full-time members by 2012. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2012, peaking at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. As of June 2013, their debut album has been certified Gold in the UK, Platinum in the US & Australia, and Double Platinum in Ireland & Canada.

TAME IMPALA
From an informative point of view, Tame Impala are Kevin Parker, Dominic Simper, Jay Watson, Nick Allbrook and Julien Barbagello. They loosely formed in 2007 from a collection of numerous Perth bands, sharing a love of psychedelic rock, blues, jazz – pretty much every genre. Their first EP was released in 2008, followed by the debut album Innerspeaker in 2010 and Lonerism (2012)… Oh boy. Who are we kidding. You know all of this. You also know that whether you’re listening to an album, or watching a live show, Tame Impala is an experience that is completely mindblowing, filled with simplistic beauty and boundless creativity.

MAC MILLER
In a blossoming hip-hop hotbed of talent, Mac Miller has arrived as the latest superstar straight outta Pittsburgh. A multitalented self-taught musician beyond his years and a young novice of the freestyle/cipher/battle circuit of his hometown, Mac paved his way to superstardom in his blue-collar hometown for years. Influenced by the styles of artists such as Big L, Lauryn Hill, Outkast, and A Tribe Called Quest, Mac Miller soon developed a reputation for delivering jaw-dropping freestyles in Pittsburgh. Look for Mac Miller to continue his rise to dominance in the international music world in 2013 and beyond.

MUDHONEY
Every now and then, a combination will go beyond "appropriate" or "good" and result in something that forever alters the universe. Just imagine a world without chocolate and peanut butter, Doc Martens and a leather jacket, Beavis and Butthead, and of course, Mudhoney and Sub Pop. 2013 marks the 25th anniversary of both Mudhoney and Sub Pop Records - there could be no better band to represent the label, past, present and future. Through two and a half decades, sarcastic grins remain implanted on their grizzled faces, even as empty bottles and the sneakers of a stage diver fly inches from their heads..

GROUPLOVE
When the members of Grouplove met it was like a dream. The setting was a remote artist colony on the exotic, mysterious Greek island of Crete. Drummer/producer Ryan Rabin and his childhood friend, guitarist Andrew Wessen came from California, guitarist Christian Zucconi and keyboarist Hannah Hooper traveled from New York (after only having met 48 hours earlier) and bassist Sean Gadd was the lone Brit. Each member went to Greece for their own independent reasons but over time they gravitated towards each other and discovered the sound that unified them: a merging of richly narrated, intricate songs with anthemic classic pop production.

THE NAKED AND FAMOUS
The Naked And Famous return with hugely anticipated new album In Rolling Waves and a sound connecting audiences to the romantic inspiration of the golden era of epic, emotionally charged alternative rock. Debut Passive Me, Aggressive You and singles Young Blood and Punching In A Dream made them one of the hottest new bands in the world. After three years of touring, playing to more than 600,000 people internationally, In Rolling Waves delivers darkly nuanced, intricately rocking electro gems, moody synth swirls, fiery kaleidoscope licks and singles with a firm grasp on the euphoric sound their audience love so dearly.
