Reed determined to bring pre-season form to A

For immediate release: 15 January 2014

Discount Tire Racing/TwoTwo Motorsports Chad Reed has vowed to bring his pre-season form to the third round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross at Angel Stadium this weekend.

The Australian, who finished third at the opening round of the season, fought back from a bad start in the 20-lap final in Phoenix to finish ninth, but said he didn’t feel that he had ridden to his full potential.

“I really haven’t felt like I have ridden to my full potential in the opening two rounds,” Reed explained.

“I rode tight at A1 and got a bad start in the main at Phoenix. I came back through to ninth but really struggled to find a rhythm.

“We head back to Anaheim this weekend, I have been working on my starts and really want to try and bring my pre-season form to the race.

“The bike is great. We are not going to do anymore testing before A2 it is just a matter of me riding to my potential on the weekend,” Reed added.

Reed currently sits fifth in the 450SX championship standings on 32 points

The third round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship will be held at Anaheim's Angel Stadium on Saturday 18th January (Sunday 19th January for Australia). The event will be telecast live on Fox Sports 1 (USA) and ESPN (Australia)
