New Auckland Better Home & Living Show Seeks Local Input

Jade Promotions, the country’s largest provider of home, garden and lifestyle shows announced today that it is seeking local input for a major feature at its new Auckland Better Home & Living Show. The event, which will follow the highly successful formula of its other Better Home & Living shows in Wellington and Hawke’s Bay, will run 13-15 November 2015 at the North Shore Events Centre.

Show organiser, Daniel Joll said, “This is a chance for Aucklanders to have their say about what feature they want to see at their show. We’re asking community organisations to approach us with ideas for a display or event and the group with the best initiative will receive free exhibiting space at the Show. We’re looking for concepts that will fit with our Better Home & Living theme, which attracts exhibitors and visitors who are interested in sustainability, plus we want the feature to appeal to a wide range of people.”

“Show features prove hugely popular at many of our other shows. At North Shore and Wellington for instance, the local Floral Art Societies hold their annual ‘Design of the Year’ competitions, while Waitakere hosts a yearly art and sculpture competition. The Auckland Better Home & Living Show would be well suited to an annual flower show, but the opportunities are much broader - it could be an art or photographic exhibition, or any display or event that would interest show visitors.”

“This is a fantastic opportunity for a club to benefit by aligning itself with our show. The feature will be mentioned in our extensive pre-show marketing campaign, so it’s an easy way for an organisation to raise its profile and attract more members. This year the North Shore Home & Garden Show drew in over 12,800 visitors and we believe that locals will embrace this new show just as enthusiastically. In addition to such widespread publicity, the winner will also secure the use of a premium venue, the Kings Lounge, which is modern and spacious, providing the perfect place to hold an annual club event.” Mr. Joll said.

“We suggest that applicants look at our website first, to get a feel for what type of feature might be suitable. The winner will be chosen by the team here at Jade. The North Shore Events Centre will be packed with products and inspiration for beautifying the home and garden, and with community involvement, we feel sure that it will also be showcasing an impressive new feature that visitors are sure to love as well.”

Submissions will need to be in to Jade Promotions by 28 February 2015 so that the successful community group has plenty of time to organise its feature.
