Kiwi Celebrities Get Crafty for Kids in Need

Kiwi Celebrities Get Crafty for Kids in Need

Westfield provides free school holiday entertainment 7 July – 17 July

Four Kiwi celebrities are getting creative by participating in Westfield’s July School Holidays in centre activities to support New Zealand children’s charities.

Rugby legend Jerome Kaino, Fashion Designer Trelise Cooper, TV personality Erin Simpson and Shortland Street actress Kerry-Lee Dewing have each designed a ‘Monty the Monkey’ t-shirt to support the children’s charity of their choice. Each t-shirt will be displayed in eight Westfield centres nationwide, alongside a voting box encouraging the public to vote for their preferred charity design.

The children’s charity who receives the most donations will receive a special print run of 100 t-shirts, designed by their celebrity supporter, to auction off for further donations or to gift to children.

National Communications Manager Deb McGhie says, “It’s fantastic to be able to provide an option for kids across the country going through Westfield’s school holiday entertainment to support another child in need.”

The design a t-shirt sponsorship will go towards supporting Child Cancer Foundation (Jerome Kaino), Cure Kids (Trelise Cooper), CanTeen (Erin Simpson) and The Foundation for Youth Development (Kerry-Lee Dewing).

The July school holiday entertainment includes…
